Confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy and precise decision making compose the fabric of protection we enfold our clients with throughout the duration of our relationship.
Clearly, there is no cookie cutter approach to serving as a security advisor which is why our three-phase approach allows us to efficiently identify the areas of vulnerability, implement procedures to eliminate, reduce, and harden those vulnerabilities, and provide ongoing service and support to our clients and their families.
Phase One
Personal Risk Diagnostic
Upon providing the client with a written non-disclosure agreement assuring them complete confidentiality, our objective is to obtain as much information as possible surrounding the subjects personal and family lifestyle so as to ascertain the current and potential level of risk.

COMMUNICATION SECURITY
COMMUNICATION SECURITY
Embracing its responsibility as the industry leader in mitigating the most complex risks facing the affluent, RCS Communication Security COMSEC professionals have amassed one of the most sophisticated countermeasure strategies in the private sector. Utilizing a variety of proprietary measures and controls to deny unauthorized personal information derived from telecommunications, we ensure the authenticity of such telecommunications and guard our clients from both domestic and international intruders.
A sampling of our deployed services are as follows:
Cryptosecurity
The component of communications security that results from the provision of technically sound cryptosystems and their proper use. This includes ensuring message confidentiality and authenticity.
Emission Security (EMSEC)
Protection resulting from all measures taken to deny unauthorized personal information of value which might be derived from intercept and analysis of compromising emanations from crypto-equipment, automated information systems (computers), and telecommunications systems.
Physical Security
The component of communications security that results from all physical measures necessary to safeguard classified equipment, material, and documents from access thereto, or observation thereof by unauthorized persons.
Traffic-Flow Security
Measures that conceal the presence and properties of valid messages on a network. It includes the protection resulting from features, inherent in some crypto-equipment, that conceal the presence of valid messages on a communications circuit, normally achieved by causing the circuit to appear busy at all times.
Transmission Security (TRANSEC)
The component of communications security that results from the application of measures designed to protect transmissions from interception and exploitation by means other than cryptanalysis (e.g. frequency hopping and spread spectrum).
Given the plethora of information available to the general public (including nefarious type individuals) about the wealth of an affluent family as well as their lifestyle (building of homes, donations, affiliations etc) over the internet and through the media, adopting preemptive COMSEC measures are no longer just for the high profile but for all that wish to protect their legacies.

CYBER SECURITY
CYBER SECURITY
Cyber communication is crucial to the operations of government, business, and private citizens. Computers and networks essentially run the critical infrastructures that are vital to our national defense, economic security, and public health and safety. Unfortunately, many computer systems and networks were not designed with security in mind. In todays world, the importance of cyber security to organizations and private clients cannot be understated, particularly in light of current Internet hacking / malicious code activities. Companies and municipalities may be required by law to have secure systems and these security measures must be measured against existing laws, guidelines, and industry best practices.
To determine if your organization is secure the ISO (International Organization for Standardization), via ISO/IEC 17799:2005, has established guidelines and general principles for initiating, implementing, maintaining, and improving information security management in an organization. These guidelines recommend organizations have a comprehensive vulnerability assessment conducted to identify vulnerabilities to the system and how well the current infrastructure and security management systems address the identified risks and exposures.
At RCS, we have extensive experience conducting vulnerability assessments to identify areas of infrastructure vulnerability, implement procedures to eliminate, reduce, and harden those vulnerabilities, and provide ongoing service and support to protect our clients cyber world. During the initial stages of the vulnerability assessment, RCS will identify what undesirable events (man-made or natural) are of primary concern to the client so we can identify these areas as we conduct our assessments of the following areas:
Information security policy, procedures & access control
Asset management
Network vulnerability
Communications & operations management
Information systems acquisition, development & maintenance
Cyber attack incident management
Compliance
CYBER INVESTIGATIONS
In the instances where the clients cyber world may have been compromised, RCS has the expertise to conduct cyber investigations to not only detect the perpetrator, but insulate the client from further intrusion.
As part of our investigation, we will conduct a forensic examination, analyzing the computer-related evidence with our technical experts. This information will be paired with other available information, to quickly, and discreetly provide a resolution for our clients. Every cyber intrusion is unique, and RCS is prepared to address our clients needs, whether it is unauthorized intrusion, denial of service, exposure to a virus on the company network, or theft of proprietary or personal information.

IDENTITY THEFT
IDENTITY THEFT
Perhaps the fastest growing crime in the United States, Identity Theft is clearly the crime of the 21st Century. Perhaps, the most significant fact for one to embrace is that once your identity is stolen, you may never get it back. If preemptive Lifestyle measures are not implemented, the risk increases exponentially.
Talking about Identify Theft:
While there are no guarantees about avoiding identity theft, its important for you to know how to:
Deter identity thieves by safeguarding your personal information
Detect suspicious activity by routinely monitoring your financial accounts and billing statements
Defend against identity theft as soon as you suspect a problem
Awareness is among the most powerful tools in the fight against identity theft. And thats where you play an important role. The more you know how to protect your identity and what to do if a problem occurs, the harder it is for identity thieves to commit their crimes.
By educating yourself you can help the people you care about and yourself:
Save time and money by reducing their risk of being victimized, detecting any problems quickly and knowing what to do
Avoid or reduce the emotional stress that often comes with identity theft
Enjoy the peace of mind that comes from better understanding this issue, and knowing how to take action
What is identity theft?
Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personally identifying information, like your name, Social Security number, or credit card number, without your permission, to commit fraud or other crimes.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) estimates that as many as 10 million Americans have their identities stolen each year. In fact, you or someone you know may have experienced some form of identity theft.
Maybe thieves rummaged through your trash, found a bank statement, and misused your checking account. Or, maybe they rented an apartment using your name. Maybe someone got a credit card using your identity and credit history, and bought expensive stereo equipment. The crime takes many forms.

RCS provides critical, deal-related background information and operational knowledge before contracts are signed.
INVESTIGATIONS
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS & DUE DILIGENCE
Risk Control Strategies (RCS) provides two levels of individual background investigations based on the level of scrutiny required by the employer who is not merely looking for commodity database screening. As risk levels and security concerns rise, our efforts become much broader and less dependent upon public records alone. All interviews and information received is reviewed and analyzed by an experienced investigator to determine the thoroughness and consistency of the information obtained.
Level 1
Screening will confirm the history and authenticity of the person in question. RCS requires a personal information sheet to be filled out by the applicant with a signed release. This information is usually sufficient to screen most individuals. If requested, manual searches are conducted in the jurisdictions where there is an identified public record history to include criminal, civil, pending or former litigation, liens and judgments.
Database searches will be conducted in the following areas:
Civil and Criminal Court records in the areas resided and neighboring counties
National Sex Offender database
National and regional real property searches
Bankruptcy Court records
Prior litigation regarding past or pending civil suits
Driver's license record
Credit review (with signed release)
Professional licensing verification and review of disciplinary records
Social Security number verification
Terror Watch List
Level 2
For employers seeking a more thorough mosaic of the subjects life, this level of investigation incorporates a "hands-on" methodology of the subject's character, integrity and personal history. It includes all of the Level 1 searches plus interviews of associates, former employers and education verification based upon the prospective employee's application; all of which are conducted by a highly tenured former Law Enforcement professional. Additionally, our investigation will entail an analysis of adverse media information from the Internet and through our proprietary sources of information.
KIDNAP RANSOM EXTORTION
KIDNAP, RANSOM, & EXTORTION
To help minimize the risk of kidnapping, conducting a comprehensive threat assessment and travel vulnerability analysis are now fundamental components of any true risk management program. Embracing its responsibility to its clients, Risk Control Strategies (RCS) created an all-inclusive risk mitigation assessment and analysis team staffed with actual subject matter experts on the issues of terrorism, kidnapping and travel security. The team works with our clients to diminish the risk of catastrophic loss through pre-incident training designed to avoid kidnappings.
RCS provides their clients with options that are proven to reduce their exposure to kidnapping through aggressive and pro-active assessments, analysis, planning and training. RCS has developed a comprehensive and proprietary Kidnap Mitigation Program (KMP) that includes countermeasures, training, policies and procedures. The RCS mission is to protect the client by reducing vulnerability to kidnapping and loss of life while protecting the corporation's reputation and value.
KIDNAP FOR RANSOM COVERAGE
Both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Central Intelligence Agency have stated that terrorists and saboteurs fully intend to continue using kidnapping as a means to fund those terrorist operations to wreak havoc on our society and kill Americans.
Normally insurance coverage would be the favored risk transfer mechanism in a corporate risk management program crafted to come to grips with this harsh reality. However, in today's global marketplace the ability to secure insurance coverage alone is not sufficient to protect the lives of international travelers who could be potentially exposed to terrorist acts.
The professionals at RCS have been responsible for the safe recovery of kidnap victims around the globe. They have responded to kidnap situations for profit, as the result of terrorist acts or political motivations, and as a means of extortion that oftentimes involved innocent family members. Our proven response protocols will significantly impact the successful resolution of a kidnap for ransom situation and help ensure safe recovery of the victim.
EXTORTION
Commonly known as blackmail, Extortion has increased dramatically since the downturn of the economy and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. The Mens Rea or intent behind this crime can range from revenge to opportunistic greed without regard to the irreparable damage caused to the victim. RCS professionals draw upon decades of Law Enforcement experience in both Federal and State jurisdictions to work with clients in responding to this life changing crime. With the utmost of discretion, we embrace our responsibility to incorporate various methodologies to expeditiously address and eliminate the threat to the best of our ability.
SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGEMENT
SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGEMENT
When hosting a special event consideration must be given to creating an organizational and physical security infrastructure to address possible incidents and minimize the potential for costly law suits. The professionals at Risk Control Strategies (RCS) have been responsible for the overall planning and security of major national and international events. This includes Olympics, political conventions, Super Bowls, World Cup Soccer and an array of privately held special events. Whether you are a public official, athlete, celebrity or other high profile individual, your special event could become the target for terrorist acts, the paparazzi, or, as is oftentimes the case, an opportunity for theft or other criminal acts.
