Crisis Management Planning
RCS’ professionals have extensive experience in responding to crises. During assignments with US military and government organizations, and for their corporate, municipal and private clients, these professionals have produced, reviewed or drafted crisis management plans designed to help anticipate, respond to and recover from disruptive events. Based upon our expertise, we can shepherd the client’s development of a tailored crisis management plan.
RCS’ crisis management planning services can be scaled to a full plan development, from conducting risk assessments, to designing training and simulated exercises, or reviewing existing plans.
Other offerings include assisting in post incident response and analysis of actions as a third-party evaluator or as an advisor to update plans for specific scenarios or respond to ongoing security situations.

Our advisory services provide expert recommendations to safeguard the client’s assets, including sensitive/proprietary information, client and/or customer data, communications, and equipment.
Outsourced Chief Security Officer (CSO) advisory services provide clients expert recommendations to safeguard their assets, people, brand and reputation. RCS provides a highly accomplished level of security leadership with proven experience in security and crisis management worldwide. RCS professionals have mentored senior leadership as an advisor to organizations experiencing catastrophic incidents resulting in mission-critical failures.
Risk Assessments
RCS can perform security-based risk assessments as an augmentation to Business Impact Analysis (BIA) efforts or the development of formal Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans. Most BIA and BC/DR planning efforts leave out critical aspects of physical and/or cyber security risks, which will impact the overall effectiveness of an entity’s crisis management program.
RCS’ professionals have real-world experience in active threat matters, such as threats of violence, post blast investigations, kidnappings, hostage-rescue scenarios, and other life-threatening incidents. This provides the client with a unique lens to conduct both physical and cyber risk assessments, and a valuable contribution to determine security vulnerabilities and risks not revealed with traditional BIA and BC/DR planning efforts.

Threat Management / Workplace Violence
RCS has a proven track record mitigating potentially volatile workplace situations by eliminating the threat from the workplace. We provide telephone consultation and support to companies and institutions where counsel is required on potential high risk workplace violence related matters. This may include consultation with disgruntled employees, domestic situations, customer disputes or other external factors. Our professional staff is prepared to offer guidance in areas such as crisis containment, threat evaluation, behavioral analysis, adverse media containment and law enforcement liaison.
The best way to protect your employees and prevent workplace disasters is to avoid them. RCS offers courses and workshops on the best practices to avoid workplace violence and how to recognize and respond to potential threats before they hit critical mass. There are a variety of early warning signs that indicate an employee may be capable of violence. Learning how to recognize these signs is the first step in preventing things from getting out of control. RCS can train human resources staff, management and line level employees regarding the best practices for identifying and handling potentially volatile situations.
