I took this photo last week, in Scotland, of a faerie circle with Dunure Castle in the background.
The castle dates back to the 1200s and once hosted Mary, Queen of Scots in 1563. Centuries of power, loyalty, and betrayal played out there before it was ultimately gutted by Oliver Cromwell.
The faerie circle in the foreground checks a couple fun boxes for me- myth and history, but actually, it is not from ancient ritual. Most circles like this are natural fungal growth patterns in grass that folklore later attached meaning to.
Assumptions fill gaps faster than facts. When something looks good on the surface, the real question is not how it feels, but whether it has been tested.
History, nature, and human behavior all leave patterns. Good decisions come from knowing which ones are real.
