Last week we went to Disneyland Paris, and I noticed something that most people walk right past. The cast members directing traffic ahead of Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade weren’t just in uniform. They were wearing the same shoes.
Uniforms are expected, but shoes are a choice. That level of consistency doesn’t happen by accident, but it reflects standards, training, and pride in execution. How an organization handles the small things is usually how they handle the big ones.
It was a cold day, so gloves, scarves, and beanies came out. Those weren’t uniform and they didn’t match. That stood out too. Strong organizations are disciplined where it matters and flexible where it doesn’t.
Details tell the truth long before words do.
